Readers Godparents (A reading friendship)

During the last months, something to remember the rest of our life is happening in the classes of 3rd of Primary and 3rd ESO. Teens have been a Reader Godparent to the kids and every 15 days they meet to read stories together, in this way they build a friendship and a passion for the English language for a lifetime.

In the first meetings different activities were carried out to facilitate closer links and began to create strong bonds of friendship. Once the little ones stopped seeing the grown ups as giant monsters and the and the teens to the kids as noisy brats, they began to read The Grinch. Using little performances, drawings, voice changes and all kinds of creative resources to make themselves understand, therefore the english lessons are coming out from the classrooms and becoming something organic and real.

The experience is being fantastic and we hope that it will be the beginning of a long and English spoken friendship.
