International Women Day

First of all, students worked all together in class and learn some vocabulary about International Women Day. Working on some worksheets about it to discuss what can be done to establish women´s equality in different areas such as work or government.

Secondly, in class students were reading the novel Little Women while working on it through different activities to develop skills such as reading, pronunciation, writing and listening.

Furthermore, students did some learning activities useful to help them learn about and explore gender-related issues. After all that and reading Little Women students were ready to watch the movie, to learn, to understand and to enjoy it!

Primero, los alumnos han aprendido en clase vocabulario relacionado con el día internacional de la mujer. En clase debatieron sobre este tema y salieron ideas muy interesantes. Hablaron de la igualdad de género en las distintas áreas.

En segundo lugar, los alumnos y alumnas de secundaria han leído en inglés la novela «Mujercitas», lo han trabajado en clase mediante la realización de distintas actividades, las cuales les han servido también para el desarrollo de algunas de las destrezas en inglés tales como la lectura, pronunciación y la escritura.

Además los alumnos y alumnas han hecho actividades enfocadas la trabajar la igualdad de género. Y, tras las lectura de Mujercitas nuestro alumnado ya está preparado para ir a disfrutar de la película.
